Q. What web browser is required to use Xero?
You can use anyone of the below free browsers to use Xero:

Q. Can the server go down?
Xero is always live due to its back up servers, ensuring you always have access.

Q. Can Xero be used on a tablet or a mobile phone?
You can Xero’s mobile apps to manage your business while you’re on the move. Reconcile, send invoices, add receipts and create expense claims – anywhere, anytime – on your iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone.

Q. Does SME Cloud Accounting assist in VAT registration?
Yes we can take care of the whole process for you.

Q. Can SME Cloud Accounting offer any additional services?
We offer all of the additional business services that a small business requires including, VAT return preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning, self-assessment completion to name just a few!

Q. Is there a minimum term contract with SME Cloud Accounting?
There is no minimum contract term leaving you to cancel at any time although we are sure you will be happy with our expertise and service.

Q. What do I need to do?
Simply complete the sign up form and we will be in touch requesting any additional information to get you set up.

Q. Who or what is an authorised agent?
This is someone who is authorised to act on your behalf when dealing with HMRC. We will request an authorisation code from HMRC requesting permission to take care of your tax affairs.

Q. What is a registered office?
This is the address often used for correspondence with companies house and HMRC. We offer a registered office service, to find out more please ask us while signing up.

Q. Can I sign up online?
Yes certainly, as an online firm of accountants we are here to make the whole process from day one as easy as possible. Use our sign up form from the links at the top.

Q. Xero – how easy is it to use?
We don’t recommend Xero because we are in partnership with them, they simply offer the best and most efficient bookkeeping platform available. Xero has an unlimited library of resources including videos and guides for added support.

Q. What accounting experience level does SME Cloud Accounting have?
We are a fully qualified Chartered Certified accounting firm regulated by the ACCA. Our experience comes from working with small businesses on a day to day basis ensuring you deal with someone who is knowledgeable, approachable and professional.

Q. What type of support is available to my accounting?
In one word unlimited! If you choose the most appropriate package then we can take care of the whole process for you.

Q. How much advice is provided in my monthly fee?
Unlimited advice related to the terms of our engagement. In other words we will advise on all matters related to the services you have engaged with us for. This will be set out in an ‘engagement letter’ which is required by all professional firms.

Q. Does SME Cloud Accounting offer a separate payroll service?
Only to existing clients that have subscribed to one of our packages.

Q. Is it straight forward to move to SME Cloud Accounting from another accountant?
Step 1) Let us know you would like to use our services. Step 2) We will contact your old accountant for the handover information. Step 3) There isn’t one as you’re all done!

Q. Does Xero allow multiple users for my business?
Yes it is very easy to add additional users at no extra charge.

Q. What software do you use for payroll?
Web use in house software for payroll and will run this every month on your behalf ensuring you are tax efficient as possible.
